In the scheme the company works with the pupils, parents, and teachers to provide an opportunity to educate about the environment, raise money for the school and participate in a communal event of the public and private sector. As can be seen there are many benefits for a school to sign up to the scheme. The scheme suits all schools from playgroups to colleges, regardless of size.

If your school is interested in participating and wants to arrange a collection please contact us. The company will supply an information pack including clothing collection bag and leaflet with instructions for the scheme. Pupils will fill the bags with any unwanted used clothing, shoes or discarded household textiles. The pupils return the bags on the agreed day to the school. The school will arrange a collection date and will be paid based on the weight or number of bags returned. The amount of unwanted used clothing, shoes or discarded household textiles will be weighed and will contribute the amount of resources diverted away from landfill in the area concerned.

The scheme can be linked to work on the national curriculum on the environment if the school wishes. The scheme can also be tied to a charity where a proportion of the funds raised go to the school and an agreed amount to the particular charity.
